THE NEW YORK FEDERAL RESERVE
Unfortunately there is no photography allowed once inside the building so these internal view photos are from The Federal Reserve Bank of New York's website.
The tour is quite interesting with a brief history and explanation of how the Federal Reserve operates. It is not going to be everybody's thing and I would not recommend it for younger children. The vault is amazing piece of engineering. Getting up close to the largest gold reserve in the world brought out a crime planning nature I didn't know I had.
The tour is free but requires a little planning. I booked almost a month in advance. Be sure to bring your ticket and some government issued ID with you. Also minimize the amount of bags you carry as you can imagine security is quite tight.
