Irish Archaeology are currently running a photography competition. This sent me looking through my archive and I entered the first of these three images.
Glendalough is the site of a 6th century monastic settlement and a place of great beauty. The name comes from the Irish language meaning the valley of two lakes. It’s set in a glacial valley in the Wicklow mountains.
